Pretty good toasted. January 27, 2010 Marye Eveland (Mattoon, IL USA) This is the first and thus far only gluten-free bread I have tried. I find it quite tasty and satisfying when toasted and unfortunately inedible (DRY!) when not. I like it enough toasted that I would continue to buy it. I was very surprised by the fat content-4.5 grams of fat and 100 calories per SKINNY slice. That makes a hefty sandwich diet-wise. Still, being able to eat bread when I couldn't before is worth it. The loaves come individually air-tight wrapped so there is no need to freeze, which is great. Also very impressed with the company-one loaf in my box had the seal compromised and was MOLDY. When I contacted the company they sent me a 6 loaf box free of charge. So, overall...if you don't mind toasting I find this a great bread to enjoy SPARINGLY due to fat content.
Delicious January 19, 2010 J. Brinkerhoff This bread has fantastic texture and flavor. I just wish it came in a larger sandwich slice.
Ener-G Foodss White Rice Flax Loaf November 10, 2009 Thomas (Clemson, SC) This is great bread. It has a good flavor, and doesn't crumble like a lot of gluten-free breads do. It is a little dry, but I like it plain or with a little coconut oil on it. I have been eating it regularly for over two years so far and will continue to do so.
Nutty tast, great texture November 14, 2007 Michelle Moore My seven year old son who has severe food allergies loves this bread. The Tapioca Loaf is too dry and dense with no flavor, but he loves the flavor and texture of this bread. He eats it everyday for lunch. I love the fact that he is getting flax for the Omega-3's since he can't eat eggs or fish.
