If you're Celiac and miss convenient meals... July 11, 2008

This product rocks! My favorite is serving it with Amy's GF cheese enchilada's and re-fried beans for a SW meal but it's just as good with a can of chicken and some corn drained and stirred in (add a spoon of butter or EVO oil to help the seasonings spread around). It's tasty, has great texture and one packet makes just the right amount for the two of us.

This product is tasty, fast to prepare, goes well with any number of other foods, can be used in one meal or saved for leftovers, and is reasonably healthy.

I love brown rice, we only eat organic, and I appreciate quick convenient foods that are also healthy. This is a pantry staple. It is so quick to heat in the microwave and have a healthy side dish. Teriyaki Sesame flavor is a family favorite, and the chicken flavor is also an excellent choice to serve with another of our favorite healthy convenience foods, Tasty Bite Indian dishes (Jaipur Vegetables or Peas Paneer are enjoyed at least once per week). Toss some vegies and cheese with the Sante Fe rice and you have a quick healthy lunch or side dish. Highly recommend all of the Lundberg RiceXpress that we have tried!

This is like a version of spanish rice, very tasty. I especially like it with a bit of shredded cheese melted over top. You do need to 'knead' the package to break apart clumps, but Lundberg isn't soggy/hard like other microwave brown rices I've tried. I also found it a bit on the dry side, and added some moisture with a bit of soup or broth. Would buy again.
