Scrumptiously decadent July 14, 2008 Elizabeth M. Seiler (Dripping Springs, Texas) Mmmmmmmm.
Add an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder for even more mmmmmmmmmmm.
As good as they have all said! July 5, 2008 QuiverFull Mama (Ohio) We have some dietary restrictions in our home because of food allergies. One thing that has helped me not feel deprived has been these brownies! I am a brownie person in general anyway, and even used to always request them instead of a birthday cake.
This is what I do to make them dairy & egg free as well:
Make as directed, except for a few things. Use coconut oil/butter (melted) for the oil. Bring 1/3 c. water to a boil with 2 T. flax seeds and simmer 5 minutes. Use that in place of the egg. Then I add 1/2 bag of Ghiredelli dark chocolate chips (dairy free), and put in a 8" pan (I like thicker brownies), cooking at 350 F for approximately 25 minutes. Let cool a bit and indulge. Mmmmmmm!
I cut into generous squares, about 3" x 3" (hey, it's about my only indulgence!) and wrap them individually in plastic wrap so I can take them along when I go out to dinner, friend's house for a meal, church potlucks, etc.
They are pricey, but ooh la la!
So good April 24, 2008 Tooksbooks (CA United States) These are delicious! I make them with applesauce instead of an egg, to make it vegan, and I add about 1/4 cup of sunspire chocolate chips, and everyone in my family loves them! They have a great fudgey texture. Definitely recommend!
Excellant Brownies March 6, 2008 Dorothy F. Burton (Avon Park, Fl USA) Bob's Red Mill Gluten Freee Brownie mis is so delicious. Makes a lot and I frost them with canned chocolate frosting and add some peanut butter to it and its delicious. It is very moist. .Dorothy
Unbelievably good! November 9, 2007 WinstonViews (Ocean Bluff, MA 02065) Only the person with dietary restrictions needs to know that these delicious brownies are gluten free! I baked them in a mini-scone pan for a friend who has Celiac's so there were 14 perfect portions. However, I gave a some to others who simply thought they were among the best brownies they had ever consumed. (They did not know they were gluten free.) I had one warm with Vanilla Bean ice cream and was in heaven.
