Mike's hard lemonade
« on: April 23, 2010, 08:27:55 PM »
I never was a beer drinker but with summer fast approaching, I am starting to miss Mike's and Twisted Teas.  Does anybody know of a similar drink that is gluten free?  Would appreciate any help!

The last time I looked at them, it said it was a malt beverage.  That would be a "no-no".  I made that mistake in my first month of diagnosis, after a dietician said that a "wine cooler" sounded like it would be okay.  I have heard there is one type of wine cooler that is okay to consume (B&J type).  I have had no luck in finding it.  It will say "malt beverage" in small print on the front label, so look carefully.

If you're looking for a lighter form of libation, I'd recommend the Fruitiza (sp?) types of beverage that are part wine, part fruit juice.
