Since I'm vegan as well as having celiac disease, my choices of prepared GF bread are very limited, and mostly include the Ener-G brand that so closely resembles sandpaper.
So lately I've been trying my hand at baking my own GF bread.
Now keep in mind that I am a nerd and a computer geek by trade, by habit, and by inclination. I'm much better at creating HTML pages than I am at baking anything, but I've got a loaf in the machine right now.
I used the Buckwheat Yeast Bread recipe in the book
The Best Ever Wheat and Gluten-Free Baking Book, it looks like a brick. I did have fun playing with my webcam and taking photos of the ingredients, you can see the photos
here.
The plan was to serve it tonight with some soup made with Bok Choy, home-grown green bell peppers, garlic, more garlic, fingerling potatoes, vegetable broth, and lots of salt. I'm just hoping I can slice this bread when it is done baking.
