Let's use this area to blow off steam, or talk about anything that is not directly celiac related.

Does anyone have any experience with starting support groups?  What are good ways to contact people?  Good activities for people you don't actually know?  Places to find new information/recipes/updates on what's happening in the world with Celiac and HD.  And most of all how to encourage a positive attitude while allowing people to cope with all of the inevitable frustration.

If you mean the kind of support group where local people meet in person, you might consider
putting notes on public bulletin boards (physical ones) at places like churches, supermarkets or laundromats.

Ads in classified sections of newspapers might work too.

You can also visit the Celiac Disease Foundation's website at www.celiac.org and click on the tab for "Connections Groups."  Some communities already have support groups established.  If your community isn't already represented, the CDF can help you start a group in your area.   :-D
